previously, on the adventures of Kukup...
Wednesday, May 14, 2008

when we last left off on the previous post, we had just arrived at Kukup where we proceeded to shower and change out of our dirty dirty tights..in spite of our earlier non-stop consumption of insane amounts of food..we all went out to lunch when the rest of the group arrived at 430pm.

lunch at 430pm? who's complaining? it's food!

after a long day on the bike chasing down attacks after attacks and with a full belly the next inevitable thing on the agenda was definitely sleep. obviously trust our resident pseudo foodies and now resident clowns in Dennis and Jinx to fight over blankets.

when there was ample blankets for everyone. has to be them eh.

the rest of the night went by in a flash, with another round of awesome bbq food for dinner and random conversation highlighted by topics which are definitely not meant for public reading or understanding so we'll leave it at that..

then at 330am, in the depths of sleep, all of us jumped straight outta bed and rushed out to the balcony.

it. was. a. warzone.

there was rain, thunder, lightning, wind of a HUGE scale. the tights and shoes which we left in the open to dry..was well..wet. things were strewn all over the place, helmets which were left on top of the bikes had been blown off to land on the floor.

well we could very well say good bye to dry shoes even though the shoes were brought in. everyone was also resigned to the fact that they'd be facing wet and soggy tights for the ride home later in the morning. Except Jinx and I of course, cuz we had the presence of mind to bring our tights in. ahem. haha

clutching at straws for comfort, I agree..but hey. take what you can, I always say.

that's it, enough slacking at work. stay tuned for the next episode where instead of the race to "White Castle" ala Harold and Kumar, the Ride from the Heart crew raced towards the Golden Arches..
