Choices and Change

At the start of this journey, we made choices.

We chose:
to do what others called crazy, impossible, and many other things.
to cycle in places we'd never been before
to go where many would never tread
to persevere amidst the onslaught of the sun, wind and rain
to endure

at the end of our 16 days of living out of our backpacks, of doing laundry in hotel sinks, of the endless pedaling on not-so nice roads, and less than friendly motorists, and unwelcome road reflectors. readjusting to 'normal' life takes some getting used to.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the tother, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy ans wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
